ASHEVILLE — Flinging spears and hopping near UNC Asheville's track in the rain, Simon Haake might have appeared out of sorts the morning of March 16.

In some ways, though, Haake was as good as he'd ever been.

More than nine months after a torn labrum and frayed rotator cuff apparently ended his javelin career, the Bulldogs' senior had just rekindled his dream.
